Monday 20 February 2023 at 6:30pm
Australians of Aboriginal heritage have the right to freely embrace, practise and celebrate their culture without endless governmental interference.
Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison was the first to propose the creation of the “First Nations Voice” – a standing consultative body to advise the government on laws and policies arguably affecting Aboriginal community but, potentially, the nation as a whole.
The current Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, is also fully committed to the “First Nations Voice”.
We should therefore expect the entire Australian establishment to spend millions in an “education” propaganda to convince Australians of the supposed benefits of “The Voice”.
To provide a fair and balanced perspective, so that the general public is able to make a conscious decision on this matter, this important event will explore the “NO Voice” case, what it really means and what the Constitution says about it.
Our WALTA President, Professor Augusto Zimmermann, will introduce Professor Moens as one of the speakers.
