Book Launch and Public Seminar: ‘Wokeshevism’ & ‘The Truth about the Brazilian Presidential Election’

The Western Australian Legal Theory Association (WALTA) is proud to support an important public seminar and book launch by Voting Matters Brisbane Inc. with Professor Augusto Zimmermann and Emeritus Professor Gabriël A. Moens AM.

The topics are:

2. THE TRUTH ABOUT THE BRAZILIAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

Professor Zimmermann was in Brazil for two months recently.  He had access to multiple prominent citizens. We anticipate that he will share fascinating insights on the true situation.

Professor Augusto Zimmermann is known as one of the nation’s most outspoken proponents of free expression. He possesses a number of degrees, including LL.B.,LL.M (cum laude) and Ph.D. (Monash).  Not only is he a internationally known law professor working at the Sheridan Institute of Higher Education, but he is also former Law Reform Commissioner of the Law Reform Commission of Western Australia (2012-2017) and former Vice-President of the Australian Society of Legal Philosophy.  In addition, Professor Zimmermann is the President and Founder of the Western Australian Legal Theory Association (WALTA) as well as the Editor-in-Chief of the Western Australian Jurist law journal and a Fellow of the International Academy for the Study of Family Jurisprudence (IASJF). He is a regular contributor to “The Spectator” and “The Epoch Times” with timely articles on contentious issues.

Professor Zimmermann will be introduced by his equally eminent colleague, Emeritus Professor Gabriël A. Moens AM, a prominent Australian legal academic, researcher, and university administrator. He is an Emeritus Professor of Law at the University of Queensland and an Adjunct Professor at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Sydney, and at Curtin University, in Perth. He is an award-winning author who has researched and written widely in the areas of jurisprudence, constitutional law and arbitration. In 2019, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for services to legal education.
