Chairing the event for the evening is Professor Michael Quinlan, Dean of Law at the University of Notre Dame Australia, Sydney campus.
Mr Abbott was first elected Member of Parliament for Warringah in 1994. He served as the 28th Prime Minister of Australia from 2013 to 2015 and Leader of the Liberal Party from 2009 to 2015.
Giving the vote of thanks is the UNDA Sydney Associate Dean for Research, Professor Keith Thompson.
