A COURSE FOR ALL THOSE WHO OPPOSE ARBITRARY GOVERNMENT AND TRULY VALUE THEIR FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS!

FIRST LECTURE IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

– EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

By Professor Augusto Zimmermann

Some of the government measures to allegedly fight the so called pandemic have significant repercussions on our fundamental freedoms, in particular freedom of movement, expression, privacy and association, both now and potentially for a very long haul.

In addition, these measures are causing people to endure deeply stressful and traumatic events, including home arrest, job loss, financial ruin, and inadequate supplies of food and other essentials.

This is course is your unique opportunity to uphold your constitutional rights and learn about the foundations of Australia’s constitutional government from a leading jurist and academic in Australia.

Organised and coordinated by Professor Augusto Zimmermann, a former Law Reform Commissioner in Western Australia, this course introduces the basic foundations of Australian law and government, including our system of government and present threats to our fundamental rights and freedoms.

Students will analyse constitutional principles and practices, including separation of powers, constitutional government, constitutional rights and freedoms, constitutional interpretation, and the Rule of Law.

If you live in Western Australia and truly value your rights and freedoms, this course is especially for you!

The class time will be Tuesday, at 4:00 pm – 6:55 pm, and will run for 12 weeks. The first class will be on the 8th of September.
